Countercation effects on surface and catalytic properties of 12-tungstophosphates
Chemistry Department, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Roxy, Cairo, Egypt.
Some salts of tungstophosphoric acid (cesium, zinc and silver) were employed to determine their surface and catalytic properties. Except cesium salt the other salts have surface area < 10 m2/g and possess little group of narrow pores with the existence of mesopores. Cesium salt (300°C) have shown to possess microporosity character with little group of mesopores and surface area > 120 m2/g. In conversion of 2-propanol (50-300°C) the dehydration reaction is more favourable than the dehydrogenation one.
