Industrial applications of multicomponent aluminum phase diagrams

The Al-rich corner of the quaternary system AI Cu Mg Si phase diagram, (chosen as a prototype) has been calculated from thermodynamic functions and represented as a series of projections, sections and three dimensionnal drawings. An example is given and a solidification path is analysed.

Le coin riche en aluminium du diagramme de phases du système quaternaire Al Cu Mg Si (choisi comme prototype) a été calculé à partir d'une modélisation thermodynamique et représenté comme une série de projections, sections et schémas tridimensionnels. Un exemple est donné et un chemin de solidification est analysé.
