A decomposition of the nOe intensity matrix

An approximate expression for nOe intensities between the protein amide hydrogens is proposed, which is derived from a decomposition of the nOe intensity matrix. Using this approximation, it is possible to calculate the intensities from the distances between the amide hydrogens, provided that the sum of intensities between each amide hydrogens and other hydrogens is known. The approximation validity is tested in a simulated case.
Résumé
Les intensités nOe reliant les hydrogènes amides d’une protéine sont exprimées approximativement à partir d’une décomposition de la matrice des intensités nOe. Cette approximation permet de calculer les intensités à partir de la seule connaissance des distances séparant les hydrogènes amides, si la somme des intensités entre chaque hydrogène amide et les autres hydrogènes est connue. La validité de l’approximation est testée sur un cas simulé.
