Adsorption of PMMA and PVC, PMMA and PVC blends, and a diblock copolymer P(S/EO), onto polypyrrole (PPy) was monitored by XPS, ToF-SSIMS and inverse gas chromatography (IGC). It is shown that the solvent nature influences adsorption rate and the morphology of the coating. There is also evidence for PVC and PEO block-enrichment at the PPy-blend and PPy-P(S/EO) interfaces, respectively.

Key words: polypyrrole -- polymer adsorption -- XPS, ToF-SSIMS -- gas chromatography
