Ammonolysis of titanium tetrachloride in liquid ammonia

Abstract

The reaction between TiCl₄ and liquid NH₃ has been rein- vestigated. Additional information has been obtained on the extent of ammonolysis, the identities of the products, the processes of their dissociations. New thermodynamic data concerning the solid products are made available.

Résumé

La réaction entre TiCl₄ et l’ammoniac liquide a été à nouveau étudiée. Des résultats complémentaires ont été obtenus sur l’importance de l’ammoniolyse, la détermination des produits et leurs décompositions. De nouvelles données thermodynamiques concernant les produits solides sont également fournies.
