On the possible detection of negative ions in the interstellar medium

Abstract

The possible detection of negative molecular ions by radioastronomy is discussed, with reference to the ions C₂H^—, [Math] and CN^—, Approximate transition frequencies are predicted, and the physical and chemical characteristics of these ions are considered.

La possibilité de détecter des ions négatifs dans les gaz interstellaires grâce à la radioastronomie est étudiée sur l'exemple des ions C₂H^—, [Math] et CN^—. Une estimation des fréquences de transitions ainsi que certaines propriétés chimiques et physiques de ces ions sont présentées.
