Thermodynamics of isolated miscibility gaps

A one parameter, thermodynamic solution model that presumes significant ternary' interactions is given. The model predicts phase diagrams that contain isolated, multiphase miscibility gaps. A numerical example of a ternary system shows that three-phase miscibility' gaps form and then combine as the temperature is lowered. The critical lines associated with the gaps have three maxima, three minima and three tricritical points.
Résumé
Un modèle thermodynamique de solution à un paramètre supposant des interactions ternaires tones est présenté. Ce modèle prédit des diagrammes de phase contenant des lacunes de miscibilité multiphases isolées. Un exemple numérique de système ternaire montre que des lacunes de miscibilité de trois phases se forment et se combinent quand la température duminue. Les lignes critiques associées aux lacunes de miscibilité component trois maxima, trois minima et trois points tricritiques.
