Use of 19F NMR for studies of the complexation of gallium (III) by 5-fluoro-8-hydroxyquinoline

Abstract
Stereochemical and structural informations have been obtained by 1D and 2D 19F NMR spectroscopy of solutions containing a diamagnetic cation Ga(III) and a fluorinated ligand named 5-fluoro-8-hydroxyquinoline (Fox). In organic medium (DMF-d 7), and at low temperature, Ga(Fox) 3 has been studied in details using homo- and heteronuclear correlations.

Résumé
Des informations structurales et stéréochimiques sont obtenues par RMN du fluor 1D et 2D sur des solutions d'un cation diamagnétique, le gallium (III), et d'un ligand fluoré, la 5-fluoro 8-hydroxyquinoléine (Fox). Dans le DMF-d 7 et à basse température, Ga(Fox) 3 a été étudié en détail d'un point de vue structural, grâce aux corrélations homo et hétéronucléaires.
