Electronic and vibrational spectral studies of dihalogenotoluenes

Description des spectres IR et Raman des chloro-2 et fluoro-2 iodo-4 toluene à l'état liquide, et de leurs spectres UV proche à l'état gazeux. Attribution des vibrations fondamentales. Calcul des grandeurs thermodynamiques. Description des effets de solvants sur les transitions π — π*.
Abstract
The infrared and Raman spectra of liquid 2-chloro-4-iodotoluene and 2-fluoro-4-iodotoluenes and the near ultraviolet spectra of their vapours are reported. An assignment of fundamentals is proposed. Calculated values of the thermodynamic function are given. Solvent effect on π — π* transitions is also reported.
