Interactions entre le DNA et les histones

Nous étudions les interactions entre le DNA et les histones = histone totale et fractions d’histones, en chlorure de sodium molaire et 0,15 molaire, par diffusion de la lumière et sédimentation.
Les configurations du DNA en solution sont modifiées par la présence des histones et il est difficile d’admettre que la liaison entre le DNA et la fraction riche en lysine soit purement électrostatique.
Abstract
The experiments to be described are concerned with the interactions between DNA and histones (total and fractions) in M, 0,15 M NaCl, by means of light-scattering and sedimentation techniques.
Histones were found to change DNA configurations in solution = arginine — rich histone contracts the whole molecule of DNA, while the lysine-rich, on the contrary, gives a more extended configuration.
In NaClM, our results are consistent with interactions between DNA and histones (especially lysine — rich histone). The interactions seem to he specific and non ionic one. This finding suggests a model where lysine — rich histones are fixed on some specific sites of the DNA chain.
