Résumé

L’examen des modifications apportées au spectre des silices poreuses par l’action du méthanol a permis de préciser l'attribution de certaines bandes du spectre infrarouge de ces solides. L’existence d’une réaction d’addition sur les « doubles-ponts oxygène » à côté d’une réaction d’estérification entre l'alcool et les groupes silanols superficiels, a été établie par une étude quantitative des données spectrales.

Abstract

The examination of the modifications which occur in the spectra of porous silica gels under the action of méthanol enables us to specify the ascription of certain bands of the infrared spectra of these solids.

The existence of a reaction of addition on « oxygen double links » together with a reaction of esterification of the alcohol on the surface silanol groups has been established by a quan- tative analysis of spectral data.
