Association studies of some 1-1 electrolytes in aqueous-nonaqueous mixtures
(Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad, Allahabad ( U.P.)), India.
The present paper deals with the theoretical calculations of association constant for sonie 1-1 electrolytes, AgNO3, LiNO3 and KNO3 in water-ethanol and AgNO3, KNO3, NaCl, KCl, RbCl and LiCl in water-dioxane mixtures by using Bjerrum, Fuoss and Denison-Ramsay theories of ionic association. The internai consistency of the calculated kA values has been tested by plotting log kA vs 1/D. These values are further compared with Fuoss conductances values.
Résumé
Application de diverses théories de l’association ionique au calcul des constantes d’association de divers électrolytes 1-1, AgNO3, LiNO3 et KNO3 en solution eau-éthanol et AgNO3, KNO3, NaCl, KCl, RbCl et LiCl en solution eau- dioxanne. L’homogénéité des kA calculés a été contrôlée en dressant la courbe log kA en fonction de 1/D. On compare également ces valeurs aux valeurs de conductance fournies par Fuoss.
